Important dates in the school history
- The school was founded in 1951 as a non-profit association of the students’ parents. The statute is registered in Paris, France.
- The school signed a convention with AEFE on March 4, 1986, and has since been recognized by the French Ministry of Education.
- In November 2016, the school was recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia as a “foreign educational institution”.
- In June 2021, The French School in Belgrade became a Serbian entity independent of the Embassy. Until then, it was a private school registered by the Embassy of France.
School facilities
To this day, the school is located within an 8-building complex in Senjak. Students aged 6 to 18 attend the school within this historic site.
In February 2021, the preschool was moved from the complex at Kablarska Street to 10 Sanje Živanovića St. nearby. Our preschool program is intended for children aged 2 to 5.
School guidance
The school is guided by the Board composed of 16 members, 11 of whom have the right to vote.
