The Week of French Schools Worldwide

IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Within the AEFE project The Week of French Schools Worldwide, our MS-GS and GS students sang “Dire bonjour c’est joli” to celebrate the values of multilingualism cherished by all French schools abroad. IN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL

The topic of The Week of French Schools Worldwide 2024 is the expansion of Francophonie in an innovative and creative way.

We decided to include our long-standing partners, First Kragujevac High School, a Serbian public school where the first Serbian-French bilingual class was opened last year.

The students from EFB (2nd, 1st, and Terminale classes) were tasked with designing and creating videos inspired by popular content from social media, in which they used idiomatic expressions, slang, or homophones. This material was then sent to the students of First Kragujevac High School (bilingual 2nd and 1st classes).

Our partners, in turn, created their own videos by transforming slang into standard French, illustrating idiomatic expressions with the help of AI, and presenting sentences with homophones through synonyms.

The main idea was to enrich vocabulary, illustrate the richness and versatility of spoken French, and do so in a fun and modern way using various web tools, applications, and AI.
