Primary School

French – the school language

School lessons are taught in French from the first years of primary school till the final year of high school. A good command of the French language is a requirement for children to pursue their education in appropriate conditions.

The curriculum with the PARLE – Reinforced English option, can be chosen in the third year of preschool (children at the age of 4-5). At primary school from CP class to CM2 class, pupils within the PARLE curriculum have five lessons of English a week: three lessons of language learning and two lessons of non-linguistic subjects taught in English.

Pupils within the PFR curriculum – Reinforced French option, have two lessons of English a week.

Serbian for all pupils

All primary school pupils have two lessons of Serbian a week. There are separate groups for pupils learning Serbian as their mother tongue or as a foreign language.
